Quick divorce in the Dominican Republic
This route is open to foreigners and Dominicans living abroad when both spouses agree to file before Dominican courts. Only one spouse needs to attend the hearing, which usually takes under half an hour, and you can leave the country the same day. The decree takes ten to fifteen days and is couriered to you by DHL or FedEx.

Practical details
- The spouse attending needs to spend only one night in the Dominican Republic
- Bring your passport and other ID (Social Security card, ID, driver's license)
- U.S., Canadian and major European citizens need no visa, only a passport and a tourist card
- Hotel reservations available on request
- Formal (office-type) attire is required on hearing day
